Make it Easy Transport Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Make it Easy (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“the Customer”). By making a booking with Make it Easy, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Services
Make it Easy provides packing boxes, packing materials, labels, and transportation services for students. We do not carry boxes into rooms, unpack boxes, or assemble furniture. All items must be packed securely by the customer.

2. Packaging Directions and Weight Limits
Customers must follow Make it Easy’s packing instructions. Each box must not exceed 25kg and must be sealed and labelled correctly. For health, safety, and security reasons, our driver may refuse collection of any boxes that do not comply. Any refusal will be treated as a failed collection and is non-refundable.

3. Storage
Storage is not included as part of the standard service. Storage may be arranged upon request and will be subject to a separate quotation.

4. Delivery Requirements and Penalties
It is paramount that the assigned keyholder is present to meet our driver at the agreed time and university drop-off point. Delivery slots are limited to 30 minutes. If the authorised person is not present and the slot expires, the delivery will be classed as failed and items will be returned to our warehouse. Re-delivery requires a new booking and payment.

5. Additional Services
Transportation of non-standard items such as bicycles, surfboards, electric scooters, or musical instruments requires advance notice and separate pricing.

6. Insurance and Liability
Make it Easy is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of high-value items including laptops, phones, tablets, other personal electronic devices, jewellery, valuables, or specialist musical instruments. Customers are advised to insure or transport these personally.

7. Quotations and Pricing
Prices are provided at the point of booking. Optional add-on services may be selected at additional cost. All prices are confirmed before payment.

8. Prices and VAT
All prices quoted by Make it Easy are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

9. Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of booking. If payment is not received or fails, packing materials will not be dispatched and the booking will be cancelled.

10. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellations or changes must be made at least two weeks in advance. Cancellations with less than two weeks’ notice may result in some or all booking fees being forfeited.

11. General
Make it Easy reserves the right to refuse or withdraw service where these Terms are not complied with. These Terms are governed by applicable local laws and regulations
