Information for Parents

Thank you for choosing Make it Easy, a student moving service. Please review the key information for parents before booking.

Packing Requirements

  • All boxes must be packed according to our instructions.
  • Each box must weigh no more than 20kg.
  • Boxes must be sealed and clearly labelled.

For health, safety, and security reasons, our driver may refuse collection of boxes that do not meet these requirements.

Collection & Delivery

  • A responsible authorised person (student, parent, or keyholder) must be present at the agreed time.
  • Delivery is made to the university drop-off point only.
  • Delivery slots are limited to 30 minutes.

If no one is present and the delivery slot expires, this will be treated as a failed delivery. Items will be returned to our warehouse and a new booking will be required.

Valuables & Insurance
Make it Easy does not accept responsibility for loss, damage, or theft of:

  • Laptops, tablets, mobile phones, or other high-value personal electronic items
  • Jewellery, watches, or other valuables
  • Specialist or high-value musical instruments

We recommend that these items are insured separately or transported personally.

Non-Standard Items
Large or specialist items such as bicycles, surfboards, electric scooters, or musical instruments require advance notice and separate pricing.

Payment

  • 10% non-refundable deposit upon booking
  • Full payment 24hrs before collection
  • If payment is not received, packing materials will not be dispatched and the booking will be cancelled.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations or changes must be made at least two weeks in advance.
  • Cancellations made with less than two weeks’ notice may result in some or all booking fees being forfeited.
