Packing Your Boxes
The Student Packing Guide
One category per box, nothing too heavy to carry, and everything easy to find on arrival.
Get the basics right
Heavy low, light high — fill the gaps so nothing shifts
Seal the base with the “H” tape method for strength
Label the top and one side — and number every box
Pack box by box
Give every box a single job, then unpack a room at a time. Tick items off as they go in.

Before we collect — the quick rules
- Every box under 20kg — split heavy items like books across smaller boxes.
- Boxes sealed and clearly labelled (top and one side), numbered “1 of 10” and so on.
- Mark anything breakable FRAGILE.
- We collect around 10 days before your move, so be packed and ready by then.
- Keep laptops, phones, tablets, jewellery and valuables with you — not in a box.
